Some SEO Tips for 2011

With the year 2010 ended, I thought I would take this opportunity to share some important SEO tips.

If you aren’t aware of it, SEO is short for Search Engine Optimization, which is necessary for anyone planning on doing internet marketing. Every site online is given a page rank by the search engines, and that page rank will determine how high the search engines should display your link. The goal is to have your page display on top of the first page whenever someone types in your keyword. So now that you have some background on the subject let’s get started with some seo tips.

You should never sell links

Google has frowned upon selling links just for page ranking. If you do plan to have links for advertising purposes, you should always put a nofollow in the link tag. If you do happen to get penalized then you can clean up your site and submit a reconsideration request.

Use Google Webmaster Forums

This forum is full of experts on SEO, and you should definitely pick their brains. If you are new to the world of SEO or you are just stuck on a specific problem, then Google’s Webmaster Forum is a good place to start.

Page Rank Gravity

The Page Rank algorithms for Google keeps evolving, and they get better at filtering out all those spam sites. Page Gravity can only be described through an example. Let’s say you only have one link from a site with PR 7, then your site will have a PR 6. But if you had one link from PR 7 and 1000 links from a PR 0 then your site will have a PR 2 or 3. So it no longer matters how many links you accumulate, what matters is the quality of those links.

Always get Backlinks

So unfortunately that means you need to create quality content that will boost your sites Page Rank which will attract people to give you backlinks. For those of us who has the talent, you can create a popular widget where people can use on their own site and create a backlink for you. What they call this is a link bait.

Because of time constraints I haven’t followed through with my own advice, which explains why I have a low Page Rank. But hopefully 2011 will be different, or maybe it will just be more of the same. All this talk about SEO tips has got me depressed, time to get some Hagen Daz and eat myself into an early grave.

Backlink are very important for every site to get high position in Google. we should make it. there are many way to create backlink like blog commenting and forum posting etc.
