On November of 2009 Curiosity Media had the privilege to take product shots for the Michael Stars Website. We had set up a tiny makeshift studio to display each jewelry on a white background, and there was up to 15 different products which each had 3 different set ups. The photo session was about 3 hours total which left us exhausted.

I have to admit that I didn’t expect taking pictures of jewelry would be as challenging as it was. It was very important to have the jewelry be as symmetrical as possible, and photographers who specialize in this will spend a good hour just positioning them. I guess this just shows that there is always something more to learn.

Although this is probably not one of our best work, it is exposing us to different experiences when it comes to commercial photography. We will be taking another class this coming spring which will help us grow further in our craft.
