Pokemon Apocalypse TrailerBy John Kim | September 24th, 2010

Although I wish it had more music mixed into this trailer, the premise and the execution was awesome. In the 90’s I grew up watching Pokemon everyday after school. So this trailer brings back some great memories.

FujiFilm Instax Mini 7By John Kim | September 23rd, 2010

As I learn and grow in my photography education, my appreciation of everything photography has also sparked my interest in novelty cameras such as the FujiFilm Instax Mini 7. One of the things that really stands out about the FujiFilm Instax Mini 7 is the design of the camera. When I think about Polaroids I imagine those big clunky cameras from the 90’s, the one that resembles a black brick. Not anymore though, the Instax Mini 7 brings a sleek kid friendly design that would seem fun to just carry around.

Evolution of the Double Rainbow SongBy John Kim | September 17th, 2010

last month a buddy of mine introduced me to the Double Rainbow Video, which by itself was good for a light chuckle. So today I was surfing You Tube and I found that someone had made the Double Rainbow Song which auto tuned the guys voice, and made a very Enrique Iglesia type dance mix. I loved the Double Rainbow Song, but I couldn’t get past the poor quality of the audio. Fortunately a rock band did a cover of the Double Rainbow Song, and now the circle of life is complete. Watch each video in order, and you will see the magic unfold. Enjoy!

LogoramaBy John Kim | September 16th, 2010

A short animated movie that shows a world filled with our favorite logos. If I had the resources and time I would totally make something that was this crazy. Unfortunately a poor guy like me can only sit and watch other peoples fantastic visions. Well enjoy the Logorama, it is very awesome.

Real Life Superhero ProjectBy John Kim | September 11th, 2010
|

When people hear the words “Super Hero” they instantly start thinking about comic books such as Spider Man, and Superman. Purely fictional characters with very non human abilities and hearts of gold. But even though we’ll never have a Spider Man or a Superman in our life time, there are actually real people donning costumes, and protecting the community. I’m sure you might have seen a glimpse of these real life superheroes on the news, and most likely there is a sense of mockery in the reporting.

Preventing SQL Injection AttackBy John Kim | September 7th, 2010
|
Biggest security risk for most websites is the SQL Injection Attack. This is where the hacker will attempt to put SQL code into text boxes or into your query strings in order to discover sensitive information. A way to prevent SQL Injection Attacks is to use the following PHP code:
mysql_real_escape_string($value)
This will automatically clean up any type of values that is potentially harmful. This is especially important for sites that is dealing with customer information, and should be a requirement. For anyone looking for a developer, make sure you ask them how they handle security when they program websites. Do not mention anything about SQL Injection Attack, and see if they bring it up on their own.
