Movies I liked from 2008By John Kim | January 4th, 2009 |
These are some of my favorite movies of 2008, and I don’t claim that I’m an expert on films, but any movie that can keep my attention the whole way is a damn good accomplishment.

1. The Bank Job (Action)
This movie was based on true events of a bank heist that occurred in 1971. This was the biggest bank heist in the history of the UK, but there were no arrests, why?
Well when I first watched this movie, I expected it to be like the Italian Job, but the characters in “The Bank Job” came off unusually real. It wasn’t until later that I found out it was a true story. There was so much suspense in this movie it made my heart skip a beat. I recommend this film to anyone who wants a good thrill.

RATE: 4 out of 5
TYPE: Peruvian Cuisine
PRICE: Under $20
PORTION SIZE OF MEALS: The portion size is normal, and it won’t fill up a person with a big appetite.
PARKING: The parking space is very small.
SERVICE: The service at this place is extremely slow, so don’t go here for a quick meal. Also they don’t serve everything on their menu which was a first for me. Besides these two draw backs they do have a very appealing decor.
POPULAR: It was voted 2006 LA Best Restaurants.
RECOMMENDED: It’s a good place for socialization, which you will have to do because of the long wait.
WHAT TO ORDER: Try their chicken plate, it’s very delicious,k and they claim to have the world famous rotisserie chicken. It’s a must order.
WHAT NOT TO ORDER: Vegetarian dish is good but it has a lot of onions. So if you don’t like onion don’t order this.

CHO DANG TOFU RESTAURANTBy Jenny Kim | December 4th, 2008 |

Cho Dang Tofu Restaurant
12245 Artesia Blvd
Cerritos, CA 90703
(562) 924-6099
RATE: 4.5 out of 5
TYPE: Korean
PRICE: under $20
PORTION SIZE OF MEALS: A lot of traditional Korean dishes (Free refill) that you can share with your family and friends. The food itself really fills you up, but you have to make room for their complimentary ice cream.
PARKING: There is a lot of parking at the shopping center. It can get difficult parking near the restaurant during busy hours though.
SERVICE: Although the wait is long and it’s crowded during busy hours, the service is fast. All their meals are served with traditional Korean dishes such as: Fish, cucumber/cabbage kimchi, seaweed, bean sprout, rice, etc. The best part about this restaurant is the free ice cream and coffee.
POPULAR: A lot of diverse groups go to this restaurant.
RECOMMENDED: YES! Definitely go there if you love tofu.
WHAT TO ORDER: I always order Beef Tofu when I go there and I have to say it’s the best!
WHAT NOT TO ORDER: I haven’t tried everything on their menu, but what I did eat tasted great.
