Retro Baby

By John Kim | January 18th, 2009

I recently read this blog from homemakerbarbi.com and it was describing retro 80’s baby clothes.

The website is called Retro Babies, and they have the cutest clothes for babies at the site. If you are a child of the 80’s and you love to live life through your children, then check out retro baby. This will give you a good trip down memory lane, without the side effect of feeling old.

My Bootleg Power 90 Program Part 1

By John Kim | January 13th, 2009

Shocked by the results above? It’s called Power 90, I suggest you type it into Google and do some research on it. Power 90 is basically a workout program created by the world famous personal trainer Tony Horton. His ripped 50 year old body is proof enough that his methods work. He basically uses the technique of muscle confusion to trick your body to keep improving. When your muscles gets used to a certain work out routine, it starts to plateau, and you stop making gains. If you keep challenging your muscles with new routines, that’s where the magic starts to happen. No more lonely nights at home, your ripped body will now attract slightly below average women. It’s time to score some points.

I was considering purchasing power 90 so I could reach alpha male status at my workplace. I would strike fear in the eyes of my coworkers, and my huge body would demand respect. But being frugal by nature, I chose not to purchase power 90, and create my own muscle confusion program. These workouts can be done at work or at home, and in order to keep with the theme of cheap, I’ve included a simple diet that is affordable and will improve your results. We’ll get to the diet at the end of this series.

Maple Story Addict

By Jenny Kim | January 9th, 2009

For the last few months my husband and I started playing a game called Maple Story.  It’s a free download at the maple story website, and you never have to pay a cent, unless you want to customize your characters looks.  I really like the fact that you can build up your character, and they have really cute animation which is such a contrast from the dark and ominous World of Warcraft.  Maple story is the kind of game that would attract a girl such as myself, what other game allows characters to get married?  But the downside is that you can get really addicted to Maple Story, and for those with no self control over their wallet, will be tossing away tons of cash to customize their characters.  Kids even steal money from their parents to customize their characters on a weekly basis, and all this to impress internet friends.  Plus you will encounter a lot of people who can’t distinguish fiction from reality, and will become too emotionally attached to their online persona’s.  Check out the Maple Story video, and you will see what I mean.

Gabe Bandoc

By John Kim | January 8th, 2009

A filipino singer/songwriter I discovered online. I love his song about Gentlemen, it’s a very beautiful song. I’m not actually sure if he wrote this song, but if he did, then kudo’s. I’ll keep my slanted eyes on this guy, not in a sexual manner though.

I got a video embedded for anyone one facebook, click to read more on this.

Wife Sets Husbands Penis On Fire

By John Kim | January 6th, 2009

In the news recently I read a story of a women setting her husbands penis on fire. She suspected him of having an affair and doused his genitals with methylated spirit then set the little guy ablaze. The husband woke up in horror, and in his panic, knocked the whole bottle of methylated spirit all over himself igniting him like a roman candle. He died 20 days later.

My thoughts is that this women needs to go to jail, but most importantly, this is a lesson to all men who are thinking about cheating.

HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!

By Jenny Kim | January 4th, 2009

Dear Diary,

On January 1, 2009 we had finished watching the Rose Parade in Pasadena, and it was the first time we had seen it in person. Knowing that it would be pretty crowded near the parade grounds, we figured that we would take the metro rail there. When nearing closer to the parade the metro was getting more and more crowded, but I prefer this over trying to find parking for 1 hour. I won’t sugar coat my metro experience though, I admit to a few scary moments on our way to Pasadena. Midway into our trip there was a drunk white guy talking in a ghetto accent, and I couldn’t understand a single word that came out his filthy mouth. The few words that did make sense was when he told my husband about how his dad died for him in Korea. What the heaven? Anyways, he smells like he didn’t take a bath for years, and we tried our best to not give him eye contact.

Movies I liked from 2008

By John Kim | January 4th, 2009

These are some of my favorite movies of 2008, and I don’t claim that I’m an expert on films, but any movie that can keep my attention the whole way is a damn good accomplishment.

1. The Bank Job (Action)
This movie was based on true events of a bank heist that occurred in 1971. This was the biggest bank heist in the history of the UK, but there were no arrests, why?

Well when I first watched this movie, I expected it to be like the Italian Job, but the characters in “The Bank Job” came off unusually real. It wasn’t until later that I found out it was a true story. There was so much suspense in this movie it made my heart skip a beat. I recommend this film to anyone who wants a good thrill.
