Ashley is originally from San Diego, and when she asked us to do a family photo shoot it looks like we were going to do a little road trip. We had scheduled to meet up at Balboa Park in the afternoon which gave us time to really look around and prepare. I’ve never been to Balboa, but it was huge and very crowded. Crowded locations always creates a challenge for photographers, but luckily we found a few secluded areas.

Surprisingly, when we met up with Ashley’s family it was only her husband and two siblings. This was going to be a present for her parents, so we had to do our best to make her parents proud. We spent about 2 hours working, and by the end everyone was exhausted, but the results were pretty good. Plus it’s always nice to get out, and see new scenery every now and then.
