5 interesting baby poses

If you are a do it yourself Uncle Bob type, or a photographer that is looking to spice up some family portraits then let me share 5 interesting baby poses with you. But before you can determine if these interesting baby poses are right for you, you must first determine if the child you are photographing is the right age. I’d say if the baby is anywhere between 10 months to 18 months then you should be good to go. The reason is if the child is too young they won’t be able to stand, but if they are too big then they may be harder to pick up. Just as a warning, your ability to pick up your child depends on your level of fitness. Curiosity Media is not responsible for the breaking of your back, or giving you hernias. If your child is too fat, then it is highly recommended that you put them on a diet before attempting any of these poses. But if your child is a grown adult, then it is not recommended you lift them up as it may create an awkward situation. Proceed with these poses with extreme caution, and use good judgment. You have been warned!!

As a tip, you may want your camera on continuous mode, because babies are extremely unpredictable in what they do. In order to capture that magic moment, you need to take many shots in a row.

1. You and your baby should lay flat on the grass which creates an interesting point of view.

2. Lay your baby on your stomache and play with them. This will garauntee a wonderful candid moment.

3. lift your baby too the sky, and get down low. This not only provides an interesting point of view, but you can bet that your baby will enjoy this as well, which is the perfect setup for a nice smile.

4. Get up close and take pictures of your babies feet or hands. You will never see their hands and feet that small again, so it’s good to remember what they were like.

5. Walk your child and see how adorable they look acting like they are adults.

So I’m sure there are more interesting baby poses, but these are just what I had learned from my own experiences of taking baby pictures. I hope my advice helps you take pictures so you don’t have to show the same crappy images everyone else seems to have of their children. If anyone attempts to show pictures of their children you can put them in their place by showing yours. Watch as they become humbled right before your eyes, what a glorious feeling.

If you have your own interesting baby poses, please share them with us in the comment below. You can place a link to your images.
